Understand your goals for SMP Hair

Although clients have never left our clinic disappointed, we still recommend getting ready. It is important to know the expectations of the procedure and evaluate them.

Stop using certain products

Avoid the use of medicinal products, antibiotics or other products that may irritate the scalp at least 48 hours before the procedure. It is necessary for the scalp to be cleansed and soothed, which will make our work easier.

Take care of your scalp

You must have soft skin that will accept the micro-needle easily. This will give you the best results. All you need is a dose of non-irritating moisturizer after washing your head thoroughly; twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, for a few days before the procedure.

Do not sunbathe or use a solarium for at least 7 days before the procedure.

Cut your hair the night before.

Use a trimmer to get your preferred hair style and length. You can also use a razor or a wet shaver, but do it the night before. If you do this in the morning of the procedure, chances are that the hair follicles will still be a little open and the skin will be irritated and red.

Wash your scalp

It is important to thoroughly wash and moisturize the scalp before the procedure. This is even more important in the post-treatment period, because you will not be able to wash your scalp for several days.

Avoid anything that can thin the blood.

Caffeine, aspirin, alcohol, drugs and energy drinks thin the blood, which can cause bleeding, poor healing and pigment migration. Avoid these products on the day of your procedure and you’ll be fine.

Eat a meal before the procedure

Look at the duration of the procedure. Eat so that you have enough energy, you will have a needle in your head thousands of times in a few hours and there will be no stopping for food breaks. Stay well fed and hydrated at all times.

In order to obtain the best result and the healed effect, a proper after care is necessary. Note that colour unevenness may be expected. Follow-up visits are designed to gradually build colour in layers. Please read the following tips, and if you have any questions or concerns during the healing process, feel free to contact us.

  • Sensitivity
  • Dryness and itching in the treatment area
  • Swelling and redness

In general, treat your scalp like an open wound, meaning soaking in water should be avoided. Give up chlorinated swimming pools, saunas, steam baths, sunbathing and solariums for 30 days after each and the last treatment. This will provide a good long-lasting effect.

  • Treat the treated area with extreme care and treat it as an open wound
  • Change pillowcases on the day of treatment to avoid infection
  • Do not touch, scratch or scrub your scalp

DAYS 1-5 – absolute ban on soaking, washing or cleansing your scalp with water or any product. If the area is accidentally wet, e.g. in the shower, gently pat dry the skin with a clean towel/paper without rubbing. Give up exercise and excessive sweating. Avoid shaving and skin irritation.

DAYS 6-7 – you can lightly rinse the scalp without shampoo and dry it gently with a clean towel without rubbing. Do not soak the scalp for a long time. Give up exercise and excessive sweating. Avoid shaving and skin irritation.

DAYS 8-10 – you should continue to rinse lightly with water, you can start using a gentle shampoo. Applying a light moisturizer will also help at this stage of healing. You can also resume training with light exercise.

10+ DAYS – the scalp should be sufficiently healed to return to its normal routine.

DAYS 1-30 (all period) Do not scratch, do not expose the healing skin to direct sunlight, solarium, jacuzzi, sauna, salt water, chlorinated swimming pools.
